Position Summary

Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Sales and Business Development Manager responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and expanding our market presence. The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, a proven track record in sales, and a deep understanding of the roofing industry.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise Sales Supervisor and Internal and External Sales Representatives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business development opportunities.
  • Identify and engage potential clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the roofing industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Explore and capitalize on new business opportunities in the roofing sector.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to introduce new products and solutions based on market demands.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities.
  • Utilize market insights to develop innovative sales and marketing strategies.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and proposals.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the roofing or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of roofing materials, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
