Position Summary

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and systems. They conduct perpetual inventory counts, prepare reconciliation reports, collaborate with the Warehouse Manager, and supervise inventory staff to ensure accurate inventory management.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and systems.
  2. Prepare Raw Material Reconciliation reports.
  3. Conduct bi-weekly perpetual counts at branches, especially for high-value items.
  4. Submit various reports to Management, including perpetual inventory variances and monthly interbranch transfers.
  5. Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager on special investigations or internal control areas.
  6. Generate reorder reports based on minimum stock and reorder quantity levels set in SAGE.
  7. Supervise inventory staff and oversee daily inventory counts.
  8. Review and respond to sales requests regarding items with negative or suspect balances.
  9. Prepare job descriptions for inventory staff and assign daily tasks.
  10. Train inventory staff to conduct perpetual inventory counts and prepare reports.
  11. Prepare monthly reorder reports for review by the Managing Director and General Manager.
  12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Managing Director or General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management studies, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Adept leadership skills and ability to work independently or within a group.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment.
  • Commitment to core values and ethics.
